Motorcycle helmets | Are they worth your time?

In June of 2019, my friend Jerad rammed onto some trees within the neighborhood. Luckily, Jerad came from the accident with only bruises and a mild concussion on his head. However, judging from the state of his bike, one could say that the collision would have been fatal were it not for his gear. For this reason, Jared and I have made it our responsibility to inform bikers the essentials of a good helmet.

There are multiple factors to consider when purchasing a motorcycle helmet. However, a good motorcycle should ease the pressure on your head in case of an accident, thus saving you from head fractures and even death. Also, it is essential to keep in mind that helmets have a limited life span and need to be replaced after an accident. On the other hand, if it’s still as good as new, then you should replace it after four to seven years, depending on its shell material.

Last but not least, you should also consider purchasing a helmet that not only fits but also displays class. To do this, I recommend going for a helmet that is integrated with both a safety cheek pad and a sunshade.

The bottom line.

As a biker, I would like to note that riding is an exciting experience that brings an endless feeling of freedom. In addition to this, I would also like to inform bikers that riding makes one vulnerable on the roads. As a result, I would like to urge bikers to put on a decent helmet for their own safety.
